This needs to stop: We need to make a change

Did you know the earth is around 4.543 billion years old? We have only been living on it for 200,000 years and in that time we have managed to wipe out over five billion species of animals. Every year 8.2 million acres of forests are being cut down.

This needs to stop.

Now you might be wondering what will happen if we keep on living like we are now: well here is the break down. If we don’t stop living like this, the world will eventually become too hot as our atmosphere is being broken down because of smoke from deforestation.

We can’t keep living like this. The gases that people are creating from burning trees is hurting everyone including harmless animals.

This needs to stop. We need to make a change.

Over 2,000 species become extinct every year. Is this ok? This is due to our lack of knowledge of what will happen if we don’t change the way we live. Eventually we will have no animals for our great grandchildren. Do you want that? We can’t just do nothing about this. This is a problem everyone must face. Climate change is mankind’s fault, our fault, so we need to help.

This needs to stop. We need to make a change.

Fun fact: over 30% off our planet is covered in think, dense, beautiful forests. It is estimated that in 100 years there will be no more rainforests. How does that make you feel? How does it make you feel that while we are sitting at home doing nothing there are forest being cut down all over the world? Every second that you sit there doing nothing one and a half acres are being cut down and for what? It’s you that will make a difference, you that can make that one little change in your life to maybe protest for what is right.

This needs to stop. We need to make a change.

A whopping 750 billion tons of polar icecaps fall into the sea every year, 80% of our ice caps have already melted and this is all because of us. We call ourselves “Homo sapiens” (wise men) I don’t see how destroying the only habitable planet in our solar system is helping anyone. This is the only planet. This is the only chance of life we have. And we are killing it.

This needs to stop. We need to make a change.

Plastics in our ocean can contribute to over 6% of the harmful toxins being released into our atmosphere and, I don’t know about you, but I don’t think this ok. You always see those shows like Blue Planet and they are always talking about the beautiful sea creatures in our oceans and how they all live in peace and harmony. But one thing they don’t show, is animals caught in old fishing nets and plastic bags. Imagine it’s 1450 and instead of 1 out of 100 creatures being stuck and dying in our plastic pollution, imagine 100 out of 100 ,all of the sea creatures becoming extinct just because of that plastic bag you left on the beach that one day.

This is the only chance of life we have. This is the only planet, possibly in the whole universe where we can live in perfect conditions; not too near or close to the sun. You can make a difference.

You can make a change. You can stop this.
